Allotment-tastic!!

Finally some dry weather in the UK - no rain now for a week!!!! Decided today to spend some quality time in my allotment and do some very overdue tending. The main job for today was to finish taking up the potatoes. This year I grew three varieties - Wilja, Maris Piper and Pink Fir Apple. All three have done ok, but the Wilja are a little scabby. The biggest revelation however, was the Pink Fir Apple - from a total planting of eight seed potatoes, I have today pulled out the grand total of 48lbs… Continue
