MY Yellow peppers are just starting to ripen. some have dark brown dots on them. any hint what dots are? how do i prevent that from appearing. please see the attached photo

they are just a couple of brown spots just on the top of the peel(skin), when i cut the pepper open there is no marks on the inside. is it from watering, insect, skin brused.

Hi Mark,

Could be sunburn - peppers can get that. It could be bacterial in nature though. It could be blossom-end rot, but that would be on the blossom-side, so I don't think it is likely that.

Bacterial Fungus maybe. A sun scald develops in some cases.
