Anyone who has ever lived near a power plant knows that a windfarm is a welcome change. I live about 10 miles from a power plant and it sucks!!

Please check out shelters and rescue groups. There are often purebred dogs and puppies available. If you do choose to buy, make sure it is a reputable breeder and not a puppy mill!
I live in SE Louisiana and I recently planted Rosemary that I have had in a pot for a couple of years; it's thriving. I did so because I noticed a huge rosemary planted next to a friends patio, it must be 2.5 to 3 ft. tall.

I grew Dill last year. It didn't get that big at all.
You may have some luck with the rosemary in Texas. They do like it warm, but keep an eye on it to be sure it's well watered.
It's nice to see other families that show their children where the food we eat everyday comes from. Kudos to you Jess!!
