I need to take a moment and praise my wife. She has been let go from 20 plus years of working and has taken on many of the gardening jobs. She has done a fantastic job!

Paul James, The Gardener Guy on hgtv.com has a friend in Alaska that grows pretty much everything. He depends heavily on Compost Tea and growing in raised mounds. Perhaps this is your answer. But you can't go wrong with compost tea.

An almost Retired person. A life time gardener...(if you need to know how to make mistakes in the garden, I'm your man). Although I use the image of tao It is a quote from Buddha that inspires me. "The oxen are slow, but the earth is patient."
To me the most magnificent of all garden plants is the Iris. In all its forms, I think it rival the Orchid. The delicate blooms can stand u to the toughest storms. The intensity of the colors is fantastic. Every garden should have one....at least!
