We love propane. Lots of cooking and camping with it. Propane has its problems but in the places we tend to use it the alternative is hauling out an expensive , messy and loud gas generator, no thanks. Around the house we use it for cooking instead of using coal or wood and yes I know the only real bbq is with the right charcoal...yea so I guess I am eating unreal BBQ..tasty as it is.

Bottom line a propane powered trimmer would be a great addition. Thanks for putting up the review.

You are right about the BBQ, but eating something cooked with propane is actually healthier! Something about the burning charcoal or wood lets off chemicals that get into the food. In small amounts it's no big deal, but if you grill out very often, propane is probably a safer route.

That's cool.

Really great idea! Good for the environment and cost saving as well...who could ask for more.

The trimmer sounds great! It would be good addition to my shed. (lol) Especially now, as my old one just died.
The videos you have are great, too! I enjoy watching and learning from you and the dogs. Keep up the good work!

This is AWESOME! I can certainly see the benefits. Do you have to exchange the cylinders, or do they get refilled? Also, what other propane powered tools run off those sized cylinders?

I have to agree, propane is better than gasoline is better than gasoline + oil. So until someone comes up with a Hydrogen fuel cell trimmer I would happily use a propane one.

My wife, who runs a green landscape gardening business up here in the great white north of Toronto is always telling me how she wishes she could get greener tools. That and having oily, stinky, gunked up trimmers, chainsaws etc every spring is a complete pain.

So I think this year for our anniversiary I am getting her a propane weed-whacker.

One final thought, don't try and use propane when the temperature gets too low (not that you would). At first the pressure may be too low to keep the engine going and if you push it liquid propane may be sucked into the cylinders and stuff your engine.

Love that it's QUIET. Can this be true?

Hank Hill would be proud. I didn't know you could get propane powered trimmers. I'm intrigued.

LOL.....Good ol' Hank. This trimmer does look nice. I wonder if it comes with any propane accessories?

That is exactly who I thought of as I watched the video!

Very cool! Do wonder, though, if it would ever be refillable at home or . . . well, let me tell you what we did with our home.

We restored an old tenant house, and put in propane heat. We had the contractors add propane bibs to the front and back of the house, so when we want to use the grill, we connect the grill and the bib with a twelve-foot-long propane hose with quick-connects, and never have to deal with clumsy propane tanks.

Now, if we could get a fifty- or one-hundred-foot-hose, it would cover all the weed-whacking around the veggie gardens and a lot of the stream. Hmmm . . .
